Pathways to Inner Peace - Meditation and Guided Visualization

Next encounter Thursday, April 7th, from 6:30- 8:00 pm

I have also been asked to add another monthly encounter, which in April will be held on Thursday, the 21st, from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.

This is an opportunity to explore some meditation and visualization techniques that can help you slow down, get beyond your noisy mind, and tune into your inner self.

Over the last 15 years, I have explored many different traditions and disciplines, and I came up with the idea for these encounters because I have had many people ask me not only "how" to go about learning to meditate, but which approach is "best".

Of the many things I have gained from my personal experience, there are four things that I believe to be particularly important:

1) Every approach is valid, indeed there are many roads to finding ourselves and the Ultimate Mystery;

2) We are continually changing and growing, and as we do so, we can need and/or desire to explore new ways of enhancing our awareness and growth;

3) When we cultivate our spiritual dimension in company with others, the experience becomes even deeper and richer;

4) Any type of growth requires a personal decision to step forward and then a commitment to the process. This commitment does not have to be rigid, or follow guidelines set down by others, but it does require a willingness to stick with it and develop a personal discipline.

These encounters are open to all those who either want to begin exploring how to develop a personal discipline, or who already have some sort of practice and would like to meet and share with like-minded people for a "check-in".

Several different traditions and approaches will be explored, to enhance your experience and give you the opportunity to explore what is a good fit for you, and what is not. Honoring various approaches also helps develop a sense of respect and unity among all humanity, regardless of what our religious, cultural, social, racial and economic backgrounds might be. During each encounter we will devote some time to learning and discussing the theories behind the various approaches, some time to exploring the actual technique proposed, and some time to be able to share what you have experienced.

Please call me at 262-510-4815 if you are interested in coming. Pre-registration is required.

Cost: $10 per session
